[ICOM] ICOM's on AM

   I have asked this question more than once with
little response. Will try again.
   Is there an ICOM HF rig that does not have the
full output power spike on AM. My scope shows a
100 watt spike when the carrier is set to recco-
mended level (20watts). This is not good for us-
ing an amplifier.
    If I need to consider another brand of radio,
please let me know what has worked well. Just
want casual AM operation when too lazy to fire
up the tube stuff.
