[ICOM] NO MORE TS-2000 vs. IC-910H DISCUSSION

Since I was the "one" who originally asked a legitimate question about
comparing the IC-910H and the TS-2000, I would like to step in and apologize
for the subsequent boring and nasty comments that followed. I do thank
those who provided substantive and meaningful information. I have been on
this reflector for many years and I love all of the Icoms which I have
previously owned (775, 781, and 756 PRO series). I now have a 7800 which is
the best yet "for my needs." My question was raised because I wanted to
try weak signal 2M CW and, eventually, SAT. The TS-2000 and IC-910H are the
two currently produced rigs which can easily do this. I posted my original
query on both this reflector and the Kenwood reflector. I received many
comments on this reflector, including some sarcastic, condescending, and
belittling ones. The Kenwood reflector exhibited none of this (maybe
because there are not many TS-2000 users on SAT). However, all replies on
the Kenwood reflector were informative and cordial. One individual has both
the TS-2000 and IC-910H and another had used both but kept the TS-2000. I
was only trying to get some consensus as which one would better suit my
needs. Instead, I got a lot more than I asked for. If anyone has any
constructive comments concerning comparison of the two rigs, please reply
privately to my email address at w4um at arrl.net.
