I have offered this suggestion before .. used it in the past myself ..
while your "new" vehicle is quite current in the dealership's parts books,
go buy NEW the part of the dashboard or other interior part that you intend
to drill, cut, file, paint, etc... then, either use IT, or the current
part, to mount your radio(s) .. modify to your heart's content ... put the
other in storage, where you can find it in years to come, and simply replace
it when the vehicle goes up for sale! You may be surprised how inexpensive
this can be, but ... could go the other way, and that would be nice to know
in advance! In later years, the parts may become hard to find... as in my
XYL's Supercharged Riviera. 73

What is everyone's recommendations for mounting my faceplate on my 706
? I need a mount that will not damage my dash. I am considering a
suction mount that attaches to the windshield or I could go with a Low
Boy mount or Bug mount that uses an adhesive to attach to the dash. Has
anyone had any experience with any of these or any recommendations ?

Thank you,

Eric
