OTOH - I would rather be off the air with a broken (but repairable) ICOM
rather than own a kenwood.
That said - if the 781 DOES ever go down, I will just pull the 706 out of
the deployment box. Not as nice as the 781, but still on the air,
integrated to the tuner and amp, and NOT kenwood.
