I've always heard that one should never trust a System
Analyst, (or some hams), to a screwdriver.  But, when
I got my first computer where I worked, (an AT&T 6300),
the little packet that came with it had a screwdriver that
would fit on the Nerd's Pocket Protector.  Now, the only
way to adjust that RX pot is to measure two signals, a real
weak one, and the weighed noise one.  Try a setup that
alternates betweeen the two, and settle for the best deal,
in your estimation, that you can get.   Otherwise, like the
man said, leave it alone.  (I fixed the Subject Line above.)
