[ICOM] RFI Interference

This may be off topic, but as a ICOM user I feel this information may be 
helpful to other ICOM users.
I've had interference over the entire radio spectrum that sounded like a 
buzz every 20 to 100 KHZ and completely covered receive signals.  It has 
taken me several months trying to discover the cause.  This past week I 
found that it was the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze air purifier model 
S1637. This is the current model that is advertised on TV and in other 
mediums.  The company does not have a cure for the problem other than 
offering another unit of the same model number.  They consider 
themselves to be within the FCC part 15 emissions standard.  They had 
offered a unit model number S1730EM1, but have discontinued it due to 
lack of customer needs.  Their cure is turn it off when one wants to use 
the radio or watch TV, etc.  A real bummer.
