[ICOM] veh antenna question

A friend of mine has his mounted to the spare tire carrier/tail gate (I
think it's actually on the tire carrier - comes up between the back window
and the tire).

I have a jeep wrangler and was wondering what type of antenna mount
(vhf/uhf) that you use and where did you mount it. There is not much metal
on these newer vehicles. I have both tops but the Jeep has a very limited
antenna mounting area. Eventually I will add my 706 to it and a long whip
with tuner, may use a hitch type assembly and get it into the air behind the
