Gary,
You have an excellent memory. I dug through my files and
found the answer to the same request I made to Icom in 1985:
PS-35/PS-740 CONVERSON TO 230VAC
1. Remove the top cover from the PS-740 or PS-35.
2. Remove all screws which mount the PC board, transistors,
and rectifier.
3. Move the jumper directly in front of L1 from the 110 to
the 220 position.
4. Move the jumper which is located directly behind L2 from
the 110 to the 220 position.
5. Remove the jumper which is strapped across the AC input
leads of D1.
6. Install a 5 amp fuse in place of the 10A.
7. Replace the fan with a 220V version.
Did the PS35 have a fan?

As I remember there are three jumpers you need to change.
Two are
marked 110 - 220, move from 110 to 220 V position and one is
under
the diode bridge that needs to be cut.
This jumper Spans the AC input pins on the bridge
Then you need to change the male plug on the power cord. The
jumpers
are internal to the power supply so you will need to
disassemble it
to get to them.
Others here hopefully will make sure I am correct as I am
doing this
totally from memory.
I looked on mods.dk and nothing was there for either the 765
or PS-35
for 220 V operation.
