[ICOM] ALC Questions

Bob I've been following your problem about the PW-1. Can I ask a few
questions to help me understand the problem.

1 is this a new install or have you been using the amp a while? Did it
ever produce 1KW?

2 Did I understand that the ACL control on the back of the PW-1 was set
by you so that when the exciter is at full power the  meter on the right
side of the PW-1 remote head when in the ALC mode reads straight up or
in the black cube between the red and black arc? 

3 What does the left PO meter on the PW-1 indicate when you xmit a CW or
RTTY signal through the PW-1 when it's on line?

4 What AC voltage is the PW-1 plugged into?

Bob: If the Pro III and amp have been properly set up for 1 kw pep out
on cw, you should also get 1kw pep out on voice. On cw, peak and average
power are equal. Larry K4LXV.
