Hi Dale,
One can often get good discounts at the Dayton dealer stands; the major
dealers tend to discount quite aggressively. I purchased an IC-756Pro2 for
$2499 at HRO in 2002, and an IC-703 for $425 at the same dealer in 2004.
You can avoid paying OH sales tax by having the rig you buy shipped to your
home state. What are you considering buying?
Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [ICOM] dayton discounts
Hi
Iam planning to make a major new rig purchase this next month. I will be
at Dayton and was wondering......should I buy now or are the discounts at
Dayton worth waiting for? I never really paid much attention to prices,
while there before ,never in the market for any thing large. Iam flying, so
who ever I bought from would have to ship anyway also helps with 0 taxs.
I figured that if the discounts aren't that big, might as well order now
and enjoy it for the month. would be grateful for any info.
thanks
