[ICOM] IC-775 Display

I just finished repairing the same problem on my 775. The transformer
secondary that powers the fluorescent lamp had not been soldered, which is
kinda hard to do with surface mount devices.

Fold the front panel down, I recall there is a cover on the MP2 module that
is at the far right end of the circuit board that is on the frame of the
radio (not the tilted down part), remove that cover and you will see L6, the
transformer. Reduce your room lighting, turn the radio on and you will
probably see arcing on the top two contacts.

Power down the radio, solder the arcing terminals (carefully) and you should
be good to go.

Hi all!

My IC-775 hav devoloped a problem. The display light sometimes flicker. The
flicker reminds of a broken fluorescent tube or a broken device that lights
up the fluorescent tube. (I do not know the name for it in english.)

Any ideas?
