The 3Amp fuse was actually accessible under the bottom cover and found between
the main body of the rig and the front panel. The cap part of the fuse holder
was so close to the chassis I couldn't get a good grip on it. I used a pliers to
hold it while twisting open and closing the body of the fuse holder.

The internal fuse handles everything in the radio except the PA module
and the antenna connector module.   The fuse can be dug out from the
back of the radio.  Remove the power input plate, look for the fuse.
It's somewhere in there.
