Howdy ..
I chatted with Bob Heil about the speaker .. production is being transferred
to another mid-west company, as Heil's foray into the broadcast field has
met with spectacular success, and resources are being devoted in that
direction. .. FYI, HRO has Heil's available.
I am using a Clearspeech... with speaker version .. here, with my IC-736 --
and lovin' it! I actually plug my SP-2Ø into the HP out of the Clearspeech,
using that rather than the speaker in the I had ordered a new Heil, but it
was back-ordered and I was in a hurry. Heil had an issue with a "tinny"
sound, seems like they had a wrongo speaker impedance on the first released
pieces, but was "fixed". Hmm .. shoulda asked Bob about that. I tried a
"base" type, too .. both same results .. The nice thing about paying so much
for one, if you don't like it after you got it, you can sell it quite
readily and get your money back (at least most of it, or .. make a
profit!) --- Now to try it mobile, on my IC-7Ø6MKIIG --
What's inside? http://www.ad5th.com/HEIL_CLEAR_SPEECH_SPEAKER.html
Has anybody got input about the English designed GAP "Hear It" ?? And ..
wonder why ICOM does not offer a speaker with the technology within?
As long as on subject, has anyone found a good replacement speaker for the
sorry one in the SP-2Ø? On my "to-do list" .. HIHI
