Re-stating the list:
In order of preference (per my humble perspective):
IC-7800
IC-756Pro series (Pro3 "best of breed") and IC-746Pro/IC-7400 (taking early
746Pro failures into account)
IC-775DSP (but why did Icom omit the spectrum scope?)
IC-781
IC-765 (fatally flawed by the IF shift mess, but fixable)
IC-756 (in many ways the 775DSP's "little brother")
IC-751A
IC-745
IC-735
IC-740
This ranking does not necessarily mean that each radio listed is vastly
superior to the one(s) below it; I have taken factors such as feature
content and capabilities into account.
