Dick: Your problem has been observed in other radios. It can be addressed by the mod as described on mods.dk, but any Icom repair facility can also repair it by replacing the diode and transistor that causes the problem in the first place. You will find that your rig is oscillating around 47 Mhz. Good luck on what ever way you choose to go. Larry,K4LXV
