Anders,

Maybe Bob could tell you the company who made the preamplifier for him?
I can't believe someone who paid an engineer to make a circuit, didn't keep 
the blueprints for it. If he says that he maid the preamplifier himself 
(which he might have been able to do from a few years ago when he started 
making "ICOM" compatable microphones (electret condenser microphones with 
"on microphone" preamps), then ask him for the engineer's name and address 
who designed the circuit, or where he got the circuit from.

I think you might find what you're looking for.
