[ICOM] IC-575a Strange Problems

Tom,
The lithium battery in the 575A does not store program
data that initializes the rig, as in some of the older
models. It only keeps alive the stored memory
channels. 3V as measured is a pretty good voltage,
regardless of the battery's age.
Regarding the other problem, it sounds like you may
have a failed USB BFO. Troubleshooting is the only way
to tell for sure.
