Thanks to all of you who responded to my question. It seems the PS-55 I
bought will work well with my 728 and 735.

B.S., in my opinion. I have three IC-735s with two PS-55.
If I recall, they are rated at 20 Amps. I use an Astron SS-30
(switcher) with my IC-746 and key-down current at full power output is about
17 Amps, MAX!! No reason a PS-55 should run hot unless there is some sort
of abuse involved.

I've recently acquired a PS-55 power supply to be used with an IC-728 and
maybe IC-735.

One of my ham buddies told me that this PS can't deliver enough Amps for
full output on the 728 and 735. Any truth to that statement? Comments
appreciated.
