[ICOM] ? on my 706

Hi All:   I have a ? on my 706 and am installing a SSB
and CW filter...In the manual on page 50 it shows
"Initial Set Mode items." I cannot figure out how to
get into that mode and I have to do that because the
filters will not work unless I let the 706 know that I
have installed those filters.

I have tried the usual menus like S,Q,M,G. So the
bottom line is I need to know how to select "Mode
Select." I know I am probably showing my ignorance big
time but simply cannot figure it out.
