[ICOM] IC 746 auto tuner problem

Hi- Had about the same thing happen one time.Seems one band got far enough
out that it was doing about the same as yours.Started with the lowest band
on a known good dummy load and started tuning each band going higher.
Haven't had this happen again. The 746 is a bit finicky ,not as wide banded
as the 756pro that I also have.Jerry w8kq

Anyone on the list experience auto tuner problems like this one?
Auto tuner runs, but won't stop at low SWR point on 160-80-40 meters. Same
with antenna or with dummy load. Tuner runs right past the low SWR point
and goes high, then times out.
Works better on high bands, sometimes stops at 1.5:1 instead of 1:1, even
with the dummy load.
