[ICOM] Keying Problem IC-718

See if it keys ok into a dummy load...if yes then it's RF getting back into
the radio.  I had that problem with my IC746pro after replacing my aluminum
siding with vinyl. The solution was wraping the keying line thru a FT140-J
ferrite core about 5 turns...de gary, kd9sv

Does anyone have problems keying the ICOM 718. I use mine as a spare to
backup my ICOM 746. From time to time I like to use the 718 for CW to be

It seems OK at first, but after about 10 seconds of sending, they keying

seems to jam. When it
reaches that state, the characters get very slow. Soon, I lose control
of
the keying in the rig, and it just freezes in the send position. I have
turn

radio off to stop transmitting.

Anybody seen that before?
