Hello Eric,

I hope this is of help to you as I have the same rig that did the same
thing.  Mine was caused by relay #6 on the filter board not switching on
caused by a blown protection diode.  The diode is a surface mount 3 legged
type that I replaced with a small signal diode (I think).  The purpose of
the diode is to protect the switching IC or transistor the turns the relay
on or off when the relay de-energises.

>From memory, looking at the circuit diagram - relay 6 is switched on at all
HF bands but not on 50 Mhz which explains why the output power is unaffected
on this band.

This diode sits almost on the rear most edge of the PCB concerned, I just
cant remember if it is accessible through the top of the radio or the
bottom.

I hope this is of help to you as I made this repair on my rig and it
functions normally again.
