Replying/adding to my previous post:
Disconnect power supply from AC mains.
Tighten the female pins in the DC power
cable connector using a slim ice pick or
similar tool.

It is NOT normal. Check the voltage at
the power supply output AND at the
input plug/power cable plug of the IC-735.
You may have poor contacts there with
resultant voltage drop.

Is it common, when operating in CW mode, for the dial lights on a 735 to go
very dim with each depression of the key? I checked current draw on the
Astron RS-35 power supply and it appears to be normal, i.e. around 15-20
amps for approx. 100 watts output.
