They'll sell you the resistor for 27 cents or so and ship it for a first
class stamp. Might cost you a buck -- unless they've started having
minimums. Anything is cheaper than shipping the amp. If they've got a
minimum pick up a couple of lamps for the control head. They do go out.

All of the failures of this resistor that I've seen (4 or so) it was obvious
looking at it that it had a problem. So take the cover off and inspect the
splitter board before deciding this is the cause.

Icom Service manual says that R7 on the SPLITTR board is:

	Icom p/n 7030008020
	Resistor 4.7kohm
	Mfrs number ERJ12YJ472H

Thanks Mike, excellent work.

Wonder if Icom will send out the resistor to me to save the amp the trip
across the country?
Any suggestions on how to approach this?

And is there a specific part number for the resistor?

Tnx es 73 Bruce W1UJR
