If I can do it, have worked with SMD before, saves the trip back to Icom.

There was a batch of amps around s/n 1125 that had a defective resistor in
the SWR metering circuit.  Apparently it was damaged during manufacturing
and over time it failed.  If this sounds like your amp I'll get into my
files and see if I can't find the pictures of the fix.  Resistor costs
something like 27 cents from Icom but is pretty small so you might or might
not be comfortable replacing it.

Anyone experienced a failure with the SWR metering function on the PW1?
The meter works fine on the ALC and voltage settings but will not read on
SWR.
The PW1 tunes and functions as normal but just does not display SWR.
Tried other antennas which clearly had a mismatch, without the tuner, and it
does not read.
 
Any suggestions?
