I hope it has a better receiver than the 706MKIIG.
That one overloaded pretty bad on HF, and was noisy as
heck. I was extremely disappointed with it.
Other things I would like to see on the Ic7000:
1. A noise blanker that actually works. Maybe they
can borrow the one from the FT100D
2. A memory keyer
3. Built in autotuner
4. Ability to send and decode RTTY.
It sounds like many of the other features I would like
to see have been incorporated in it, if the rumors
that have been posted here are true. If it has a
decent receiver, then it will run rings around the
746PRO.
BTW, have the power levels on any bands been
increased? I had heard rumors that UHF was going to
30 watts. Not sure how much of a difference that
would make.
