[ICOM] Question RE: IC-7000

Here are a few questions I would like to have answered about the new rig.
Does the DSP display like a real time display and keep the audio active at
the same time?
Can you scan or monitor one band and operate on another at the same time?
IE: Scan 6 meters SSB and operate 20 meters SSB?
Is there a programmable "Transverter Display and offset mode" available to
accommodate external transverters?
Can you program the DSP with an Alarm function so that if scanning a quiet
band and a signal appears the rig will either sound an alarm and record the
Freq or just switch to that freq and lock up awaiting a reset, or can it
output to a computer so that when signals within a band scan are detected,
the freq can be recorded and logged? A great idea for monitoring 10 and 6
meters for band openings.
What are the min/max bandwidth limit settings for each mode and what is the
lower and upper limits to the audio pass band. IE: SSB bandwidth nominal at
2.4Khz with limits of say 100Hz lower and 2.5Khz upper or across what range?
How many pre-programmed filter bandwidths can be accessed for each mode? 3
like the other rigs with DSP?
Is the audio side tone on CW independently adjustable from the actual
carrier offset or are they tied together?
Can it switch sidebands with one button push in CW mode?
Is the memory keyer the same crappy one that's in the IC-703 or can you just
key in the messages like most other memory keyers? (Don't shoot me, I have
a 703+ and like it but the keyer sucks. Use a MM3 and wish I had two of
them.)
Did they make provision for a "one button push instant QRP setting" that
would allow the same number of steps as 5W to full power except now Zero to
+5 watts instead of 5W to 100W??
Is there any mention of a "factory" computer program (now or pending) for
logging, scanning, contesting, etc that will emphasize the best and latest
features of the rig?
What is the lowest power consumption you can set the receive too? I'm
thinking about battery operation. Under an amp?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can come up with the answers.
I am giving the rig serious consideration for future purchase as my new
mobile and portable/field day rig. I have a TS-2000 that I love for home
use, and a IC-703+ that is my QRP field rig but it is a bit too light in
power and noise canceling ability for mobile use. Everything has a nitch.
