[ICOM] Troubled 746PRO?

Jim,

Why would the 746PRO be troubled?  It is a great radio?

I do have to admit that the scope on the 756 series is really addictive, but 
you get very little more with the 756PRO3 that you don't get with the 
746PRO.  At least for the money...

Plus you get 2 meters!

Only to add to the rumor mill -- The new Icom being unveiled is indeed the
7000 but it's not a replacement for the 706. The 706 will remain in
production and be the "mobile" so to speak. With a price in the neighborhood
of 1400 the new rig will more than likely be considered a (price wise)
replacement for the much troubled 746 pro. Unveiling is tomorrow at 10 AM
Dayton time and will be there to see. Who knows for sure?????
