Thank you, Anders, for taking the time to answer my question.
What do you suppose one would be worth in like new condition with original
box, SM-8 microphone and speaker with filters?
Serial number is 1170
Thank you

The 775 has:
A better DDS. More flexible filters on SSB with SSB-N. Dual watch, Better
PRE-AMP for 12 and 10m. A better display with bigger digits and no HV-digits
with caps that dry out. Better support for digital modes. And 200W + out.
(The internal 28V PS is quiet!) If you are considering the DSP version of
775 you will also have 80 Hz narrow filter, noice reduction and auto notch
on SSB.
Both are good radios. I can not tell you anything significant bad about any
of them. "Icom Scandinavia" has indicated that support for radios getting 10
to 15 years and older will have less support as it comes to parts end
interest to rapair. How thingas are over there I have no clue.
Some radios with lower serials, like my radio is upgraded a 775 non DSP
upgraded to DSP. My radio is sold a year before discontinue and still the
serial is below 1500. When ordering no 775 had been sold in scandinavia for
a year. Still they had to order Japan directley and I had to wait about
three weeks for delivery.
I can really recomend the 775. I have done some mods listed at www.mods.dk
but thay are minor. But on the other hand $1200 is some money.
Good luck with your choice.
