Duane,
I remember the 02A, I seem to remember that was the Japanese version. I
also remember while at Icom in the early 1990's we did have a tone board we
could add to the 02A, but those are long gone.
A quick test for the 02A would be to see if it operates below 146.00 MHz as
the Japanese versions did not out of the box.
