Ken K6CTW is also a former landline (American Morse) telegrapher.
The other "morse" race was between text messaging and two landline
telegraphers, unfortunately due to time constraints, Ken (nor the Morse
Telegraph Club) was unable to locate another landline telegrapher, so they
did it with radio code.
The costumes were "landline" and the code and sound were "ham radio". Quite
a mix but effective, especially the blowing away of "smoke" from the fingers
after sending code!
I'm very pleased that they gave such excellent publicity to ham radio and
morse code.
