[ICOM] PW-1 Band/Antenna Switching Question

Those of you with a PW-1 amp: When just using your exciter for general SWL 
tuning, does the PW-1 switch antenna ports while tuning OUTSIDE the ham 
bands? How does it handle changeover to the various antenna ports as you tune?

I assume you have to tell it, for instance, to use a specific port on a 
certain ham band, but does it continue to use that port even when you tune 
up away from that band? How far away? At what freqs does it change when 
tuning? Or does it just disconnect the antenna ports when not on a ham band?

One last Q: Does it recognize the new 60 meter band as far as switching 
antenna ports is concerned - IOW, can you leave it in line just for antenna 
switching purposes and have it it select a special 60 M antenna port for 
you automatically?

The manual doesn't tell.
