Well, it looks like we are about to do the old "Get the daughter through
college" bit here, so I guess it is time to start thinning out the shack a
little. I have an Icom 746-Pro I that I purchased as a demo from Burghardt's on
11/3/2003.( serial #1680) Right after I got it I thought it had a bit more play
in the tuning shaft than it should have, so I took it down to The RF Shop in
Hamilton, OH for encoder replacement under warranty. I have never had any
other problems with it. It is in excellent physical shape, with the only flaws
I see being a tiny chip out on the edge of the center of the tuning knob (you
have to look for it) and some paint removal in the screw slots where the
cabinet was removed for the encoder repair. I would sell it for $875 (postal
money order), and the actual cost of shipping in the lower 48. I don't wish to
get involved with the international stuff! Yes, I do have the box, manual and
mic. Sorry, I have no way to send pictures but, if you are close enough to
West Alexandria, OH (near Dayton) to come over and take a look, I would be glad
to show it off. Please reply off list to dpjkin at AOL dot com. (regular
e:mail format) 73: Dave/ KG8OH
