[ICOM] SM-20 vs. SM-6

Howdy all,
I have both of these mics but use them on different rigs so haven't done a
comparison. The peramps in the mics certainly do differ and the SM20 offers
a low cut feature to attenuate the lower audio response from the mic. I
have never utilised this feature myself so do not endorse the feature one
way or the other.
Similarly, the SM8 mic has a different preamp and has a tone control which
is useful particularly on FM rigs. I would suggest looking past the buttons
and styling of the case into what makes the noise. This is where the
differences lie. The circuit diagrams are out there.
Best regards,
Des.
