the manual says whatever icom wants.
you will have to check it yourself to found actual voltage for your radio
and voltage drop of your battery.
I was running original 1000MP with 'deep cycle' battery and it was about
11.8V.
It looked like you are able to power up with 12V, but as soon you key
transmitter - voltage drops to 11.7-11.8 and radio dies.
