Hi Jerry,

Here is a fairly detailed explanation of Dual Watch. It should answer your
question.

As the IF and audio chains are common, the A and B channel basebands are
combined.

Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [ICOM] ProII - true "dual audio"??

Does the ProII have "true dual audio"? I know it has "dual watch" on split,
but aren't those two audios mixed into one output? Or are they separate
channels that can be taken off separately, like in a stereo plug?

I'm asking because I'm considering the new Microham MicroKeyer II which
reportedly will handle the second receiver audio in rigs that support dual
receive (the original MicroKeyer doesn't).

I was thinking that what was meant was the dual radio arrangement like the
IC-7800 has, two separate radios in one box. Anyone have any ideas?
