[ICOM] Noisy Relay

Thank you for your comments Larry. But I was refering to the relay in the IC-756PRO3. As many have pointed out to me that the relay is not noisy and can almost not be heard.
The relay in the Drake L-7 is a BIG Thumper but since it doesnt do QSK it clunks once per transmission. hi hi.
I am going to hook the 'Ampkeyer' relay box using the ACC 1 or 2 connector instead of the RCA Jack. As pointed out to me, the relay inside the PRO3 is only used for the RCA Jack keying.

Joe: Sometimes a "noisy relay" can be made much more quiet by using a soft rubber grommet or layers of soft rubber as a mounting base instead of direct mounting on metal. This lessens the vibrations when the relay is engaged.I did this to an MLA-2500 amp, and it changed the loud "THUNK" into a quiet click.
