[ICOM] Amp Keying Question Again

Hi Joe,
I take it that the noisy relay to which you are referring is the T/R relay
in your L-7. The little reed relay in the 756Pro series is inaudible - at
least to me. In any event, there is no provision for disabling the reed
relay.
Incidentally, you can connect the ALC line to ACC (1) Pin 5. I believe the
L-7 ALC line is negative-going. The 756Pro series requires a negative-going
ALC voltage in the range 0 to -4V.
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Hi Jim, dont know if you are the Jim Miller I know? Since you did not give
your callsign.
But I am not worried about the 'Wait' time. Since the Drake L-7 is not QSK,
its a PTT - Transmit - Go to receive thing.
I just don't like to listen to the noisy relay!!
I will be retired in about 6 years or so, so will have time to burn too.
