[ICOM] Brake Adjustment

Hello All:
           I recently purchased an Icom 475H and am having a minor issue with the brake adjustment on the vfo. Despite tightening and loosening the adjustment screw several times it still does not have that butter smooth feeling like my 275H does. It does tighten down when the adjustment is tightened up, I thought if it was loosened and tightened a few times it would loosen up some.  How much disassembly is involved and what lubricant would you recommend if I try to grease it up?
