[ICOM] AH-4 Icom antenna tuner

Not to take anything away from the 706m2g (I have 2), given a satisfactory
antenna for 12 and 17, your MP should out-perform the 706m2g. The MP has a
built in tuner; the 706m2g does not. The 706m2g would need a tuner
(coupler) to level the playing field. You might be happier with the AT-180
over the AH-4 if mobiling is not an issue.

However, you would be best advised to invest in the antenna side of the
equation. Your TH7dx does not cover 17 or 12. Your 80 Meter dipole will not
tune them well and it lacks directivity. I recently swapped my trusty
TH3Mk3 for a 5-band yagi for for just that reason. Alternatively you might
consider replacing the dipole with a G5RV that can be tuned to all bands 80
thru 10.

I hope these thoughts are helpful.
