Not trying to take away from Yaesu or take up for Icom but I have a friend
who had Yaesu problems and it took six months and numerous calls to Yaesu
and Chip Margelli before the repair was finalized. He was a lot more
patient than I would have been.

I have never had a problem with an Icom Radio. Have had several and at
present on a 756PROII, 706MKIIG and a IC-703 none of which have had a
problem. Had a 756RO and no problems either. Did have a problem with the
first tuner/antenna they came out with for mobile use. My money was
returned promptly along with an apology by the tech who helped me. Icom had
a service station in Dallas, TX at the time and I took the tuner/antenna in.
They worked on it in my vehicle and pronounced it to be "not useable". No
problem with return of money.

Many things to be considered when reading of someone's problems with radios
no matter who the manufacturer is.

Good luck to everyone with all your radios no matter where you bought it or
who manufactured it.

73, George
