[ICOM] External Speaker recommendations

I've been using the MFJ Cleartone 281 speakers in my pickup. I have one 
each on
my 706MKIIG and 2720H. The response of the speakers is definitely 
"communications
quality" but that works to their advantage in a mobile environment. For 
the money
(about $12.95 list) they are hard to beat. No headphone jack but I think 
it would be
easy to add one. In the house, where extraneous noise is not a factor, I 
use Radio Shack
Minimus 7 speakers on my 756Pro and FT-100. They are full range hi fi 
speakers but
are not very large. Their efficiency is high for a small speaker so 
neither radio has a problem
driving them. Great sound. Unfortunately they have been discontinued by 
RS but you can
find them on the "bay" at a fraction of what they sold for new. 73
