John... I use a Midland Model 70-2355 and find it very satisfactory in the shack and in the mobile.
It's sold as a mobile unit, black plastic case, about 5"x 5", comes with a u-backet that swivels to
mount in any position, or to act as a desk stand. Sound clarity is pretty good... crisp and clear. I
use mine with an ICOM 756ProII in the shack, and it also sounds great with an ICOM 706MkIIG in the
car.
