Icom did state that the +30 intercept was at 100khz
spacing, which is very wide spacing to be measuring
receiver performance. And yes the Ten Tec does have
impressive numbers, mainly because of the narrow
roofing filters they install, and because the main
receiver is ham bands only. Other manufacturers need
to think this way. How many of use really listen
outside of the ham bands that much anyways? And the
narrow bandpass filters help to cut down on the extra
noise we get
