Guys I am afraid you use the wrong word: roofing filter is defined as a
filter that sets the band covered by the receiver. In our usual context the
roofing filter is 500kHz wide or what have you as the amateur band width.
The filters you're talking about are bandpass IF filters, nothing more,
nothing less. I can tell you this since I'm an engineer in the field for the
last 36 years. Try to use the accepted terms , so as not to create
confusion.
