Don,

I have all these radios primarily for software development so I can do the
computer control programs that I sell (www.n4py.com). I normally operate
the Orion and RX340 as an integrated pair. My software decides which radio
to use based on the frequency I am operating on. The Orion is the best
radio I have ever used for ham band operation. Its ability to pull very
weak signals out in between very strong ones is unmatched. The rx340 is
fanatastic for short wave listening. The rx340 has the steepest filter
skirts of any radio I have ever used. The rx340's synchronous AM mode is
really great for listening to AM short wave broadcast stations and reducing
the signal fade do to carrier nulling. The Icom 756Pro is a great radio
with the best built in spectrum scope I have seen.
