Hi Des.
I guess it is all how you look at $50.00 Aust. That equals about $40.00 USA  
dollars. If I could get anything fixed here in California, USA for $40.00 USA  
dollars I would be running to the repair facility to get it fixed. Just to 
get  my car fixed it runs any where between $65.00 to $100.00 per hour depending 
on  where you take it private shop vs. factory dealer.
It would probably cost you at least two to three times that much in your  
money to get it fixed here in the states.
