[ICOM] RTTY Filters in IC-756PROII

Hello, ICOM RTTY experts.

I have used ICOM 756P2 nearly 3 years on RTTY successfully as I did not 
have to bother to change any default values for RTTY: 170 Hz shift, 
2125 Mark, Normal, USOS=ON etc. which complied with my modem 
settings. Pressing the RTTY FIL button on the front panel brings  
in use the favorite RTTY filter (with or w/o TPF)nicely. I use TPF 
seldom to pull up the weak station under extreme conditions . 

Now I got to check another modem (PK-232) with 200 Hz shift, Low tones 
(1275 Mark). Again all five standard RTTY filters co-operated, but pressing 
the RTTY FIL knob on the front panel seems to return the settings to the 
default values (170/2125). So e.g. TPF is unusable or at least cumbersome 
to use. 

What am I doing wrong? Or do the settings to activate TPF have to be only 
default?
