I feel the need to express myself here in this forum on this the latest
flame.
This individual posted stating that they are leaving this list for
various reasons which is fine, but why can't they just leave and not
blast those that ask questions that to him (gender neutral) seem simple?
Isn't this list supposed to be for those to learn? I read more than I
write to the lists and get quite a lot out of the postings and questions
that others ask. Yes I have been a ham for a short time, only ten
years, and do not have the skills to build my own radio from scratch.
But that is not the reason I got involved in this hobby.
Congratulations if it is why you did. We need those folks and their
expertise to propagate the technology.
I got involved in this hobby because the people I have met were
compassionate and honestly nice people who were willing to help me
understand what a guy wire was.
I know this is an Icom forum, and this post is a general Ham statement,
made because in the last two days this is the second similar flame on
two different ham posts that blast those that ask simple or basic
questions. Provide an answer or move on, but there is no need to flame
the person
Thanks for the opportunity for expression
