[ICOM] IC756ProII Receive Antenna

Yes - the Rx antenna is just that, while the transmit signal will go to the 
appropriate Ant 1 or Ant 2.  I use a beverage as you describe, and have had 
no problems with running an Alpha 87a at the full limit.  One of my 
beverages passes within 30 feet of the tower, which supports the 160M 
antennas.  Although I've had no problems, I have considered (and may 
install) a relay to switch out the Rx antenna, as it does stay connected to 
the system during transmit, from my understanding.  Interested to hear what 
others have to say.....
